Slowly but Surely

“You will not surely die,” the serpent said to the woman. – Genesis 3:4

Thirty-five percent of Americans agree with Barack Obama, as he stated today, “Slowly but surely we are moving in the right direction.” That’s right, I’m not kidding. He actually said that! Can we check the facts please, Mr. President? Unemployment: up. Wall Street: down. Afghanistan: losing. Americans are at fever pitch over issues such as illegal immigration, race relations, and the Ground Zero Mosque, just to mention a few.

In the Garden of Eden, the serpent beguiled Eve with a couple of words. We all know what that led to. Now, Obama is doing the same thing. Let’s hope we’ve learned a lesson. Let’s not indulge in the apple of socialism.

  • A sad but true commentary.

“Slowly but surely we are moving in the right direction.” From Obama’s perspective, we are. His intention is to recreate America. He wasn’t kidding about change – it’s just not the change that the public assumed he was planning to bring. His anti-American sentiments are evident in who he has been friends with – perhaps his closest friend is a man who carried out a terrorist attack on us. So, he is telling the truth. We are moving in the right direction.
    Experts agree!
    Reverend Wright – “pastor”
    Bill Ayers – Terrorist
    Bernardine Dohrn – Terrorist
    Fidel Castro – Dictator
    Hugo Chaves – Dictator
Osama Bin Ladin – peaceful muslim
Hamas – some more peace loving muslims
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad – peaceful president of Iran

Yep, America is surely on the right path – ask any of them (and any of our other enemies for that matter) – and you’ll find they all agree. So what does that make Obama?

Ironically, this is a Biblical turn of events. God warned Israel (and any other country for that matter) of some national punishments he would inflict: One such warning in Leviticus 26 says “Those who hate you will rule over you” – well, we are living that one….

Oh, so were we going the “right direction” during the Bush administration? Let’s see; an unprovoked conflict in Iraq based on a lie (no WMDs), no objective, never ending, and a great big cancer to our economy.

Six months after proclaiming “dead or alive” Bush said that he didn’t “care where Osama bin Laden was” and he “wasn’t a priority”. I am not an Obama fan (I didn’t vote for him, I voted for a the Constitution party) but it is pure political games when Obama gets the gallows and Bush gets a golden pass.

All history is relevant and needs to be examined. “Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it.”

Well, Bush was not a good president – he obviously doesn’t understand the Constitution. Bush’s tendency to ignore the Constitution is a lot of the reason we have Obama. After Bush, and with McCain as the party “pick” the the line between Republicans and Democrats got really fuzzy. That said, Obama makes Bush look like a saint.

So far as I know, Bush didn’t have a SINGLE FRIEND who was categorically anti-American. Obama has MANY friends who hate America.

I have also noticed that many Bush haters are also America haters – which doesn’t make much sense because Bush did a LOT of damage to America by his liberal bent.

It just shows that people have such a lack of understanding of what this country is that they can’t even recognize when it’s being destroyed!!!

    Ironic.

I think probably the Bush Administration was taking us down at a slope of maybe 10 degrees engines off. Obama has us at about 85 degree’s in our decent with ENGINES ON FULL…. I’m not sure how long our Republic can stand the likes of these politicians and usurpers.
