Show Up On Election Day

I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security. I will bring Judah and Israel back from captivity and will rebuild them as they were before. – Jeremiah 33:6
God is merciful. As we battle the forces of socialism, we have the Lord’s promise. He will heal our land, and rebuild our nation. AS IT WAS BEFORE!
All we need do is trust in His promises. Oh, and show up on election day.
34 for 44

Poll numbers released today show that 34 percent of Americans still believe that Barack Hussein Obama is a Christian. Nope, that’s not a typo. Thirty-four percent! I apologize for such a short post, but I can’t fathom a reasonable explanation for this.
Sorry…
Slowly but Surely

“You will not surely die,” the serpent said to the woman. – Genesis 3:4
Thirty-five percent of Americans agree with Barack Obama, as he stated today, “Slowly but surely we are moving in the right direction.” That’s right, I’m not kidding. He actually said that! Can we check the facts please, Mr. President? Unemployment: up. Wall Street: down. Afghanistan: losing. Americans are at fever pitch over issues such as illegal immigration, race relations, and the Ground Zero Mosque, just to mention a few.
In the Garden of Eden, the serpent beguiled Eve with a couple of words. We all know what that led to. Now, Obama is doing the same thing. Let’s hope we’ve learned a lesson. Let’s not indulge in the apple of socialism.
In the Ditch

Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. – Proverbs 12:18
I just read an interesting piece from Politico about Barack Obama’s favorite metaphor. Everyone knows about the car in the ditch. It’s supposed to be our economy, wrecked by Republicans, and somehow rescued by democrats. As Obama storms across the nation to help democrats from being clobbered this fall, a couple of sentences have grown into several paragraphs. Who knows, by October, he’ll have enough nonsense to write another book.
Obama’s rhetoric certainly isn’t bringing healing to a nation beset with economic woes. His recklessness has inflamed all Americans on any number of issues. I hope there’s a wise Republican waiting in the wings to end Obama’s reign of terror.
High Upon a Rock

For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock. – Psalm 27:5
We certainly are living in the day of trouble right now. Practically everything we believe in is being assailed by Barack Obama and his underlings. The Constitution. Our economy. Our faith. What will we have left by the time the 2012 election comes around?
But I need not worry. My Lord will keep me safe. God is the only one whose promises you can trust. So let the storms come. God will set me high upon a rock.
The Peace of God

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to the which also ye were called in one body; and be ye thankful. – Col. 3:15
Perhaps my favorite Bible verse. How could I not be thankful to God for all He’s done for me! What could be more wonderful than the peace of God ruling my heart! And I am not alone. God hasn’t just called me. I am part of one body – the Bride of Christ. One people called by Abba, Father; to share in His amazing grace forever.
Praise His holy name! Selah…
Simplehearted

The Lord protects the simplehearted; when I was in great need, he saved me. – Psalm 116:6
As the nation continues to suffer under the present administration, we can rest in the knowledge that God will protect us. He’s given His word. He’ll protect us from the actions of doubleminded men, if we remain simplehearted.
Now, I know I’m not perfect, I’m certainly not pure. But the indwelling of the Holy Spirit clears away the evils of this world from our hearts, like George Bush clears away the brush at his Crawford ranch. God will protect us. He will save us.
Sometimes, simple is better.
Getting Even

Do you know how many ways you can get ripped off on the internet? No one does, because every second of every day someone comes up with a new way to rob you. You have to have triple security just to read this stupid post. I’ve already had my identity stolen twice. Wachovia invented a new way to steal from you, called Way-2-Save. They get unsuspecting customers to allow the bank to automatically transfer a dollar from your checking, to you savings account. Then, when you come up short by a buck or two to pay a bill, they slam you with a fee.
Don’t even think of hooking up with anyone you meet online. Want to buy something on Craigslist? Ebay? Amazon? Save yourself the trouble and just throw your money away. All this brings me to the story of Ananias and Sapphira.
Everybody knows the story in Acts Chapter 5. Ananias sold some land, and lied to Peter about how much he got for the land. Sapphira was in on the scam. Well, all they had to do was tell the truth, but they couldn’t even do that. So, after Peter confronted each of them, they dropped dead.
I can get mad at everyone who lies to me and rips me off. Yeah, I can get mad…
God, on the other hand, can get even.

Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. – Proverbs 12:18
Last Friday, Barack Obama boldly professed his support for Muslims to build a Mosque near Ground Zero. The next day, he said, “I was not commenting and I will not comment on the wisdom of making a decision to put a mosque there.” So does anyone know what this man really stands for?
He certainly spoke reckless words on Friday, as evidenced by the outrage his position created all across the country. Perhaps one of his advisors has a wise tongue. Either that, or Obama saw the polls.
1 John 3:18

Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. – 1 John 3:18
Whenever I hear a politician blather on, promising this or that; I have to wonder. Do they live by the message found in this passage? How’s the economy doing? How are the wars going? Which promises are being kept, and which have been cast by the wayside?
A lot of people are disappointed with the current administration, and with good reason. If you’re not unemployed, I bet you know someone who is. And all the speechifying in the world isn’t going to help. But God will.
All we need to do is love by actions and in truth.
